From this unit I learned that the stages of learning are not unidirectional. What I mean by that we can sequence the lesson differently and go back to studying between activation. For example, the boomerang ESA lesson sequence allows students to be reflective during the study stage and then apply their learning into the second round of activation. This is important as reflection can help students recognize where they had difficulties and thing about the language that was learned.
