This unit is very effective to me. As a reflective teacher, I learned how to revise my teaching philosophy including the qualities of a good learner can only be achieved if the teacher carefully scrutinizes her teaching strategies and her roles in the classroom. As Ramsden (2007) states that “Teaching is the most exciting of all human activities when it is done well, and it is one of the most humiliating and tedious when it is done poorly.” Finally, I was refreshed with the teaching and learning principles that will eventually improve my methodologies in the ESL classroom.
