In unit nine we learned the importance of making a lesson plan and how to form one properly. We learned how it provides an aid to planning, a working document to keep you on track, and gives you a record to refer back to on what was taught. We learned that you should aim to keep the lesson plan simple and unscripted, maintain a common structure, write the anticipated time for each part, try to make sure the activities flow smoothly, and keep it flexible and open to adaptation. Lastly, we learned that a good lesson plans should include learner objectives, personal aims, language point, teaching aids, anticipated problems, procedure, phase, timing, interaction, class level, the number of students, date and time, teacher's name and observers.
