This unit has reinforced my previous knowledge about the different roles of the teacher in honing the language skills of my learners. I firmly believe that as I teach my students, I am not just an instructor but I'm also a mentor, psychologist, counsellor, facilitator, and/or a policeman. Nowadays, I rarely teach groups because in my company, we are only required to conduct telephone lessons for every student at a given time. But I have experienced teaching groups with varying levels in English and it was a great experience for me! I have already applied some of the suggestions in this unit on how to deal with various levels and I must say that it really works when you facilitate interactive activities and give equal opportunities for both lower and high/advanced levels to pair or do group work in order that they may learn from one another. Indeed, the fun-filled experiences and learning they acquire from each other are as precious as what they learn from the teacher.***
