This unit on teaching equipment taught me that there is a wide variety of resources available to teachers and students. The basic essentials include a whiteboard in order for teachers to illustrate and record lessons for students to see and learn from. Technology today allows for overhead projectors and interactive whiteboards. If available, these resources are great, but technology fails and it is essential to have a backup plan. Dictionaries are essential to have in a language learning classroom for students to refer to. Additionally, the Internet provides ample sources that can be utilized by teachers or students for additional help, activities, listening practice, or even online dictionaries.
