There could be potential problems in the classroom however, there are definitely strategic ways to address these problems. The first day should always be used for classroom management, building community, and establishing rapport with the students. It will also be different working with monolingual students vs. mixed classes. There will also be students who are on different levels which could lead to frustration from students on the lower level or boredom from students who are on a higher level. However, teachers can use differentiation and prepare many different types of activities to constantly encourage and engage the students.
