This unit was able to provide clear descriptions and examples of authentic and non-authentic materials. It was also able to give a convincing explanation of the importance of creating a lesson plan. I was able to create several lesson plans when I was taking the CELTA, but I don't think my trainers gave an explicit explanation of its importance. I remember creating a lesson plan and whining about it because it was too much work for one lesson. I'm glad a realistic example of the importance of lesson planning is written on page 6 of this unit.
