This unit was particularly helpful to learn how to teach certain types of classes. I learned how to gage if a student is a real "beginner" and how to teach to various levels of beginners. I learned that 1-on-1 classes are more casual and are great for gearing lessons towards individual students but are known for last minute cancellations. I learned that young learners can be rewarding to teach but require lots of repetition and they sometimes may be unmotivated to learn. I learned that business english students usually are motivated but may be tired or harder to teach due to previous classroom conceptions. Overall, this unit was a very helpful insight into what I may be dealing with in the future.
