The final unit of troubleshooting does highlight some of the things a teachers faces with the first lesson. It is important to build the rapport with the students and for the students to get to know each other. I like the different activities suggested to help build the rapport, as I have seen some of these activities in action. Warms up are important as I can imagine walking into a room even as a student having to start a lesson with grammar straight away. Nobody wants that experience. Dealing with large classes and the use of native language is probably something I will come across. Also the reluctant students is an area that has had good coverage in the course. There will always be students who are a bit reluctant to start with. I think I have been in this situation myself. A good overview of the troubleshooting areas. I will do some more research into this area.
