This unit deals with teaching specialized groups. There is a breakdown of the different group types –
Beginners. –Absolute Beginner; False Beginner; Adult Beginner; Young Beginner; Beginner without Roman alphabet.
Children – requires slower and more clearly pronunciation & delivery; lots of repetition; positive responses to all attempt; discipline.
Business English & English for Specific Purposes (ESP) – one-to-one teaching; in-company group; in-school group. Using a NEEDS ANALYSIS form will required to set proper goals and assist with lesson planning.
Multilingual class. Students of various nationalities usually in an English speaking country for the purpose of learning English. Will have many different difficulties with English.
Monolingual classes. Usually in the students home country. Will have similar problems with learning English.
A good unit with many excellent ideas and program recommendations to work thru many difficult classroom situations.
