Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

I wasn't surprised to learn that a complete knowledge of grammar would take four years to learn as I have struggled with the terminology throughout the unit and only feel a slight grasp on the subject as from the outset I could se how massive the subject is. To begin with the expansiveness of the subject became a barrier to my learning however, as I have progressed through the course the subject has become less intimidating. This unit covered Models, Passive Voice and Phrasal verbs. Modals are; can, could, may, might, shall, should, will, would, must, have to, have got to, need to, needn't, and ought to. They are used before the other verbs to add meaning to the main verb. The ideas models express include: Obligation, Possibility, Permission/prohibition, Ability and advice hence the role-play activity is particularly suited to this topic as there can be many situations in which advice and obligation is given. The passive voice transforms the object of the active verb into the subject effectively giving less emphasis to the one time object of the sentence. Phrasal verbs are multi-work verbs consisting of a verb + one or two particles (a preposition or an adverb). The three basic types of phrasal verbs are 1) The Intransitive Phrasal Verb - These cannot be followed by direct object 2) The Transitive Separable Phrasal Verb - An object pronoun can only come between the verb and the particle where as a object noun can come between the verb and particle or after the particle 3)The Transitive Inseparable Phrasal Verb - the object phrase or object pronoun both come after the particle and also includes phrasal verbs that have two particles: an adverb followed by a preposition.
