In this unit I learned that modals can be used to expressed different ideas. The modal "must" expresses obligation, the modal "might" expresses possibility/probability, the modal "may" expresses permission/prohibition, the modal "can" expresses ability and the modal "should" expresses advice. Modal auxiliary can also express different degrees of formality. I also learned the difference between active voice and passive voice. In the active voice the agent is the subject in the sentence, but with the passive voice the object of the active verb becomes the subject of the passive voice. I also learned the difference between the Intransitive and Transitive verbs. The intransitive verb don't have an object that follows the verb and the transitive verb has an object that follows the verb.
