This unit touches on both formative and summative assessments, as well as provided learners with some examples on how a typical placement test looks like. I do know that some teachers get their students to do some kind of test at the start of the course to provide some information on the class's level so as to aid in planning for future lessons but I did not know that it is termed as "diagnostic tests". Likewise, it is also the first time I am introduced to the term "practice test", and I suppose it resembles the "mock test" to a certain extent.
