Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

In this unit, I learned about some of the most common problems a teacher might encounter in a classroom and potential solutions. The first lesson can vary between a new group of students and an existing group of students. In an existing group, the students are already likely to know and be comfortable with each other and are familiar with EFL teaching. For a new group, the teacher should firstly establish rapport among the students and between the teacher and the class, find out about the student's needs in English, and find out the English level of each class member. One of the biggest problems teachers face is a group where students have different levels. To deal with this situation, the teacher can divide the class into two groups - one with the stronger students and another with the weaker ones - then give each group different materials appropriate to their level. The teacher can also give the students the same material but with different tasks - more complex tasks for the stronger students and simpler for the weaker ones. Another solution is to pair stronger students to weaker ones. For large classes, teachers can use worksheets, have pair/group activities, appoint group leaders, etc. For reluctant students, some activities that teachers can do to encourage them are to have role-play, have controlled practice of the language, or have plenty of pair work.
