The forms and uses of the present tense are covered in this unit. The topics build on my previous knowledge of the four aspects of the present tense, namely: the simple present, the present continuous, the present perfect and the present perfect continuous.
As what I have understood from the unit, the grammatical structures are used to convey meaning. Their meaning comes from the context in which it is used. For example, 'She is doing her homework' might mean she is doing her homework at the moment (present continuous used for actions at the moment of speaking) or she has improved her study habits and regularly does her homework, which she doesn't do before (the present continuous used for temporary actions happening around the time of speaking).
Aside from learning the form and usage, the unit also provided typical student errors to correct and to make note of. Lastly, the unit provided activate stage activities that I find really useful and interesting.
