ESA method
Engage:
Ask the students name of some fruits after show them some flashcards with names and pictures of the fruits. And discuss with the students some fruits shape.
Study:
List the fruit alphabet pictures and name following each other.
Give each students the list and let them memorize as much as they can
Let them fill in blank according to the lesson on shapes.
Example: Apples are … , bananas are not … .
Look at fruit shapes that are difficult for the students to recognize and remind them of the definitions of some shapes. (Make sure you ask questions about shapes they learnt no new shapes don’t forget this lesson is mostly about Fruit vocab)
Activate:
Pair of students choose 3 new fruits and come in front of the class to describe color and shape even taste if they had ever tasted it.
The students make sentences like “Yesterday I ate… , today morning I was eating…, tomorrow I will eat…, because I love fruits”
If time allows
Ask the students to make they perfect fruit salad.
