In this unit I learned about teaching pronunciation, intonation, stress on words, the phonemic alphabet, and articulation. This unit was very interesting to me because English is not my native language, but all of the English I learned was by listening to native speakers and having conversations with them. So I never really learned everything that is on this unit, until now. For me, it just became natural to pronounce English just by listening to it.
The hardest part for me to learn in this unit was the phonemic alphabet. This is because although I had seen it in dictionaries before, I have never used it before to understand the pronunciation. I think it is really useful to teach it to students so that they get an idea on how to pronounce different words. I find it a bit difficult to memorize, though. It's a completely different alphabet than that to which I am used to.
