In this lesson, I learned about instructing students on how to utilize productive skills. One of the more fascinating facts I learned in this unit, is why writing is so often neglected in classrooms. I believe this unit may be one of the more delicate units to give to the students as, from my experience, many students are often unwilling to speak up for many reasons, such as fear of mistakes or lack of confidence. The usage of games in the classroom that this lesson has outlined is intriguing as I hadn't realized how versatile the games from my childhood were in terms of teaching another language. Additionally, the multitude of ways outlined in this lesson for promoting interaction and good habits are invaluable tools that I will need throughout my career teaching English.
