Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

This unit was an introduction to more advanced grammar topics which included modal verbs, the passive voice, relative clauses, and phrasal verbs. Modal verbs are used to indicate possibility, obligation, and permission, among other things. They are almost always used with the base form of a verb, and can indicate multiple levels of certainty/uncertainty. Passive voice is used when the object of a transitive verb becomes the subject of the verb in its intransitive form. This form is used either when the subject of the sentence (the agent) is irrelevant, or when one wants to put emphasis on the connection between the subject and object in the sentence rather than just the subject ("The Grapes of Wrath was written by John Steinback."). Relative clauses (or adjectival clauses) are used to modify nouns by way of a dependant cluase. They can be either essential (no commas between the clauses) or non-essential (commas present between the clauses). Finally, phrasal verbs are phrases that include a verb plus one or two particles (with, on, etc.). Phrasal verbs come in three types, and they should be utilized often by the teacher so that students get a solid grasp on how to include these phrases into their own speech.
