This unit is about future tenses. I can agree that this is one of the most difficult themes in English grammar. In English language there`s a variety of future tenses. The first tense which should be discussed is Future Simple tense . As a rule this tense is widely used. This part is great from the pont of view that very ofter future simple confused with “be going to”. These small hints help teacher to underline the difference between these two grammar structures. As a rule future simple tense usage ia as following: future facts, promises, predictions (based on no present evidence). The special attention should be payed to the usage of shall and will. As far as both of them have some additional emotional colouring. The next tense is Future Continuous. I think this tense is widely used in everyday language. I can specify the following: to say or predict the present, polite enquiries, intentions and etc. I think that pair work and illustration of situation are the best teaching ideas. The next part is about Future Perfect. As a rule there are some difficulties connected with this tense. But we should bear in mind that Future Perfect is used to say that something will have been done completed or achived by a certain time in the future. And one more very important thing generally it is used with adverbial expressions like : by the end, at the end and etc. The next part is about Future Perfect Continuous. I think it is vital for the students to understand, that Future Perfect Continuous is used to say how long somethinf will have continued by a certain time. The best activity is debate or questioning. The next is grammatical structure “be going + infinitive”. As a rule it is widely used in everyday english. Generally it looks like Present continuous. I can say that I can see some personal colouring for this structure. As a rule it is used to say intentions, predictions, plans (decisions made before speaking) ,differs from Future Simple. The next two parts are devoted to Present Simple and Present Continuous. These two grammatical structures are widely used in English. Generally Present simple is used to say about shedule or timetable. Present continuous for plans without time frames. This unit is great. Thank you ITTT!
