I have learned in this unit the many forms of testing that students will encounter. Diagnostic and placement tests will be particularly helpful at the start of the school year, and will help me as a teacher know where to focus my attention in a given classroom or with a certain student. Progress tests are very helpful in order to monitor that the students are being kept on track throughout the course of the semester or period. It is imporant to help students prepare for exams by giving them a practice test, so that they can learn the form of the test and make sure they are studying the right content for the upcoming examination.
