In this unit I learn four basic skills in any laguage: receptive skills in any language: receptive skills - reading and listening while productive skills - speaking and writting. They are equally important. We must not focus on one but bring others in to create an "integrated skills". How teachers can generate interest in the topic? How we can make our reading interesting to our students? Are my students listening? Do they understand our lesson? These are the questions that I always asked myself everytime I read stories to them. The type of reading and listening takes place because it will help us achieve some particular aim, goal, or achieve some specific purpose. There will be times when our reasons for listening and reading will include both motives.
