This was a rather short unit on course materials and workbooks. As we touched on it earlier in the course, this was a good reminder of authentic materials which are materials made for and by native English speakers. It touched on their benefits such as the materials being more interesting and motivating as well as giving the students more confidence with native English material. It also touched on why course books may be good and bad depending on the situation. It is good having set material where students can see their progress, but it does not always fit specific needs of students and can make teachers lazy. To avoid this teachers can omit sections and add their own material intermittently
