This unit talked about special groups in teaching, which referred to beginners, young learners, Business English, Individuals. It clearly outlined many things about each special group, such as beginners being of all ages, and categorizing beginners into different categories such as the absolute beginner, the adult beginner and the young beginner. They also noted differences such as the adult beginner most likely being more motivated than the young beginner because the younger one may not understand the importance of learning English right away. There was also tips for the different groups, such as, being visual with beginner students, really focusing on the student's interests during 1 on 1 teaching, repetition with children, and grasping a firm knowledge of what the students need and want from a business English class, and the differences between them.
