In this unit we learned about course books and lesson materials. It seems that when choosing a course book there are pros and cons to every book. When choosing the right course book for your class there are many issues to consider. Because of this it’s important to look at your class and what you want to accomplish when deciding which book to choose. When using a course book a teacher can decide to omit, replace, supplement or adapt the materials and lessons in the book depending on the needs of the students. Lesson materials are also important when teaching and you can either create your own or bring in authentic materials. Materials act as good motivators for students and can make a lesson more interesting.
