This lesson was particularly interesting, especially when it came to evaluating. While I think there are more ways to evaluate besides testing - such as with games both individually and as a class - it definitely shows the need. I think giving feedback to students about their level of what they're capable of and pushing is also equally important. Allowing the student feedback, even in low level classes or classes that aren't necessarily able to respond verbally, gives the students the ability to feel like they are participating more than just as a student. Tailoring lessons based on the feedback and evaluation has also been shown that it's an important part of learning: if classes seem "too hard" for the majority of students, it allows the teacher to change and alter their own grammar, vocab or wording for better clarity.
