In this unit I learned that reading and listening are receptive skills that are important to utilize when learning a language. If there is a difficult text that you want the students to read, one teaching method that you can use is to pre-teach any difficult vocabulary. That way the students will feel more confident when reading the text and more focused on the words that they do know rather than the ones they do not know. Also choose topics that will be interesting to the students as they will be more engaged in the lesson and willing to learn.
