During my own personal process of learning English, I was never introduced to the term “semi-modal” verbs although we did study the structure.
In addition, the can-could, shall-should, will-would pairs were introduced as a present-past tense pair. I have never questioned these until now. The way this unit presents the information now raises many questions. I am looking forward to investigating further and putting everything in order.
