Basing my experiences first as a substitute teacher, understanding the way lesson plans are set is a really big deal. Now that I help co-teach classes, and without being apart of the lesson planning, I find being able to follow what is going on extremely hard - which makes my job a lot harder. By being able to plan an overall objective while not restricting oneself to being inflexible. As a teacher, it's important that you set goals for yourself and your kids, and while you might not always achieve them, getting even part way there is a huge step!
