This unit covers different types of tests, and different certifications. The tests vary from placement test to practice tests to progress tests, and all have different objectives, such as understanding the levels of each student at the beginning of the course, preparing for externa exams, and checking the progress or retention of students. It is also suggested in the unit to have student evaluations to gauge the effectiveness of the class materials and check what kind of skills the students feel they need more work in. Different external language exams from different institutions are also listed.
