In this lesson I learnt that a teachers attitude means the difference between engaged and disengaged students. In the first video, the teacher is short with the students, does not smile, and talks throughout most of the lesson. In the second video, the teacher is warm and smiling, allows students to help one another (thus increasing student talk time), and is sure to compliment the students when they are correct. As a result, the students are far more engaged in the second lesson, and leave with a better understanding of the material.
