This Unit focuses on the theories, methods and techniques of teaching. It first talked about various approaches as well as their pluses and minuses. The course is based around ESA methodology as it is a combination of all other methods mentioned in this chapter, which allow teachers to have a large amount of flexibility in the classroom. ESA involves three stages, i.e. the Engage stage, the Study stage and the Activate stage. Different activity ideas for each stage were also taught in Unit 3.
