In this unit, I learned about teaching the receptive skills of reading and listening. It is important to use varied materials that will ensure that each of the students will be represented over the course. I thought it was interesting that you can also not teach all the vocabulary, and see how students can deduce meaning from the context alone. These skills also should go hand and hand with their productive partners, writing and speaking.
