In this chapter, I was able to learn what receptive skills are how they are used while learning a language or how they are used everyday for different purposes. The most interesting part of this chapter was the outline of receptive skills lesson. I was still having trouble understanding the flow of a lesson. Although it is emphasized multiple times that there is no fixed way of teaching an effective lesson and that different methods can be used, the example provided really helped me get a better understanding.
