According to the given unit we came to the following conclusion that planning lessons are important but some theorists suggest that lesson planning is not a good idea as it creates more fixed, teacher centred lesson. But at the same time writing lesson plans has a lot of important functions. And there are some basic principals in lesson planning: such as keep it simple, structure it and maintain the same structure, keep it flexible, etc.
And in this unit is recommended in the lesson plan should be included the following: learning objectives, personal aims, language point, teaching aids, anticipated problems for the students and the teacher, procedure, phase, timing, interaction, class level, number if students, date/time and teacher's and observer's names.
In my opinion, lesson planning is also important because it helps to be organised and ready for the coming lesson.
