From this lesson, I feel that being able to properly assess the students (levels, culture, age, personality etc) and being able to adjust teaching styles/roles is essential in having an effective lesson. Being considerate to the students` needs and taking on multiple roles such as controller, assessor, organizer, model and even the timings for each role can increase the quality and motivation levels of the lesson. Teachers that are able to achieve this are those who are kind, patient, knowledgeable and passionate about teaching and the learning of the students.
An ideal class where the learning experience is maximized would consists of a good learner simultaneously with a good teacher. The student would have a willingness to learn, practice, ask questions and accept corrections.
