This unit was very practical and provided a balanced perspective on the use of course books and materials in TEFL. Prior to this unit I was more inclined to be against the use of coursebooks. However, this unit provided several valid points on the advantages of using textbooks and how I can use them with flexibility (such as omitting, replacing, supplementing, and adapting). I also appreciated the analytical points provided in choosing a good course book. The examples of created materials were also very helpful and will be very practical for future use.
