This unit discusses different types of exams and assessments that are taken by students throughout the course of their English class, including external examinations that students might be preparing themselves for. I learned that diagnostic tests and placement tests, although quite similar in content, have different purposes. The first is to let the teacher learn what students know and don't know, whereas placement tests are more for placing students in their appropriate level.
