So, this unit is focused one teaching receptive skills in which is included reading and listening. Besides this there are productive skills - speaking and writing.
There are some reasons and motives for reading and listening: for a purpose and for entertainment. The first helps us to achieve some particular. I think, the second type of reading and listening is very important because we should be interested in reading and listening the information because it's pleasurable and enjoyable.
However, during teaching receptive skills we can find lots of problems for students, such as: sentence length, word length and a number of unfamiliar words. At the same time, there are some ways that the teacher can help students to overcome difficulties : teaching them difficult or unknown language or structure, etc.
