This grammar unit gave an overview of the parts of speech of the English language. While the parts of speech might be easily classified into general terms (noun, verb, adjective, etc), this overview highlights that certain topics are more difficult to explain, such as the irregular forms of verbs and various placements/uses of prepositions. I think I tend to understand English grammar well, but it is still hard to explain some aspects of the language that just come to me naturally. This unit has helped me think more in depth about how I should go about teaching the parts of speech.
