This Unit was extremely useful in refreshing my most favorite subject in school. At University I studied linguistics and it was really nice to get a proper refresher on all the subtle nuances of grammatical terms. It is always fun in the classroom to try and explain the differences between countable and non-countable nouns. There are many games to played for learners of all levels in regards to these terms. As a native English speaker our brain aides in the quick natural conjugations of verbs and it was nice to review these terms to use in the future classroom setting. I often find that students enjoy making sentences with funny adjectives and nouns and learning that adjectives modify nouns. In likeness adverbs simply modify verbs.. I speak Japanese and have been a second language learner myself so learning about parts of speech has been invaluable in my own personal studies of another language and has brought a deep appreciation to understanding my native language’’s grammatical structure.
