After viewing the two videos from Unit 10, I learned that the teacher's attitude could either increase student participation or decrease it. In the first video, the teacher's attitude was rather negative, leaving the students to feel too intimidated to contribute to the lesson. The teacher's lack of organization made matters worse. In the second video, the teacher's attitude was more optimistic, encouraging students to take part in each phase. Not once did he speak in a condescending tone to the class.
