Both receptive skills are of equal importance because we cannot live without reading or listening. They surround us everywhere. Using these two skills we get information that we need both for purpose and just for pleasure. We cannot communicate without these skills, that is why it is so important for a teacher to help students develop them and use them in their lives. Books, newspapers, magazines, computers, phones and so on and so forth, everything surround us and we simply can't live without them. So, if our students don't know how to get information from them, how to use them, then the teacher will fail. And those ways of approaching that I've read from the concent are both hard and easy. But as we know everything is achievable.
