In this unit, we learn about productive skills or skills that are needed to communicate language between people. These skills are writing and speaking--both of which are necessary to communicate. We first go over the difficulties of teaching productive skills, then go into fluency and accuracy (which are more important, what each means, activities for each, how to encourage students to speak creatively and interact with each other. Then we learned about writing, and specific issues or problems that may arise, write creatively, and tackle spelling, punctuation, and teaching handwriting.
