The content of this unit gives me a clear idea on the required skillsets and attitude towards English teaching. It illustrates some of the major roles (e.g. Controller, Assessor & Prompter etc) that a teacher should play in order to deliver a more 'student-centred' learning environment for the learners during lessons.
This also covers the general qualities (e.g. willingness to ask questions & an acceptance of error correction) that a good English learner should display during English learning process.
In particular, I feel that the classifications of different language levels (e.g. Beginners to Advanced levels, and A1 to C2 levels established by Council of Europe States) are very beneficial to my teaching skills, especially if I am playing an organizer/assessor role.
Being able to understand this concept will mean that I can then provide the most appropriate feedback, correction and evaluating and grading ability for my students, while effectively organizing various learning activities which are suitable to learners' respective language learning needs.
