To say the least, this lesson was a challenge even for a someone who grew up with the English language. I did enjoy the lesson it was almost entirely unfamiliar to me. We do not get taught at this level in a school with regards to the charts and diagrams which may have helped us. I am a visual learning as well and pictures of where the sounds come I believe would have aided me greatly since I had difficulty learning English once I had decided to accept the fact that I had to learn the language since it was a requirement for schooling. Looking back I believe that learning the language at an early age even if along with another would be a more optimal opportunity. This is a lesson I will refer to throughout my teaching years.
