The two videos demonstrate ineffective and effective way of teaching. Teachers sets the tone for learning. It's important to speak slowly and clearly to avoid confusion. Introducing oneself to the class should always be done prior to teaching. Also knowing the names of the students allows everyone to be at ease with each other. Learning a new language is a bit scary for some people and if the teacher smiles and encourages students to talk, the learning becomes enjoyable. Lesson two engaged the students at a more informal and enjoyable manner because the student were provided the necessary information to do the various activities. In this lesson I learned about what not and what is appropriate to do when teaching English as a second language.
