As a teacher of ESL, there's a lot of problem that will arise and this unit is very helpful on my part. Especially dealing with shy students who won't talk. We must be patient and give them time to talk. Sometimes they have the answer, but just too shy. One more problem I have encountered is a class full of chatterboxes. This can be a frustrating problem especially if the students are talking to each other instead of paying attention to you. Random group assignments is one way to get them to focus on the classroom tasks instead of hanging out with their friend.
