This unit discussed the twelve tenses of English and focused on the present tense. It discussed the four present tenses; simple present, present perfect, present continuous, present perfect continuous. It was very information dense and was a good review of things I learned in college. Here in Japan the students are taught these terms in Japanese but not in English and so it is very useful to think about these concepts in relation to teaching. There is a lot of debate about whether to use certain tenses are certain times and the timeline differences that English uses versus other languages.
