Unit 5 helped me get a better understanding of the mechanics of classroom management. Various factors should be taken into consideration when organising a classroom as these will affect the class dynamics. The unit also covered the 3 methods of a teacher’s communication with students - by means of voice, eyes and gestures – and how these can be most effectively utilised in presenting the lesson. One aspect of the unit I found most insightful was the analysis of potential causes of behaviour problems and the provision of general solutions to dealing with the problem.
